”The open minded body” by Patrik Sörling

In his grant-funded project “The open minded body - a movement language for opera”, Patrik Sörling wants to problematise various concepts of the written language in the scientific view of the body and the voice as an instrument, in contrast to the more complex picture of body and voice as a multidimensional, individual and unique whole. He wants to examine intellect and feeling as an attitude and work through to a relevant language of movement for opera that works in practice. Patrik is an assistant lecturer in movement in performing arts.
