Tove Salmgren

Tove Salmgren lives in Stockholm where she works as a performer, choreographer, curator and educator. Tove has worked at SKH since 2017 in various roles and courses and is employed as an Assistant Professor of Choreography with a focus on performative practices. Since 2023 she is directing the MA Program in Choreography, New Performative Practices (NPP).

Tove is part of the performance group Tender Motor (a collaboration with Moa Franzén and Kajsa Wadhia), a work which explores voice as choreographic materiality and politics. 2016 Tove founded Köttinspektionen dans together with the artist Kajsa Wadhia, an artist-driven platform in Uppsala experimenting with dance and choreography as an art form, politics and relations – a work driven by the curatorial aim to support and develop the field of dance and choreography with the use of playful frameworks to invite, facilitate, document, publish and present artistic processes and practices.
