Tempo Documentary Festival 2025
Tempo Documentary Festival runs 3–9 March 2025 and is Sweden's largest documentary festival. It was founded in 1998 and has since presented documentaries for a whole week in March in Stockholm. The ambition of the festival programme is to include both acclaimed international feature films to experimental documentary works, from works by international directors to new talents.
SKH is involved in the festival every year in one way or another, and this year the programme is as follows:
Between Documentary and Fiction in VR
When: Tuesday 4 March at 16.15
Where: Mötesplats (Meeting place) Mariatorget
Read more: Between documentary and fiction in VR
In a totalitarian system, fiction can sometimes be the only possible way to approach reality. The Ferryman Collective is an American theatre company that creates participatory performances using VR as a tool. Moving freely between documentary and fiction, they have previously addressed topics such as mental illness, resistance movements and Austrian fairy tales in their work. Meet them in a conversation about a playful approach to storytelling techniques. In collaboration with Stockholm University of the Arts.
