Caterina Mora’s 50% seminar
This PhD Seminar called Conflicted Embodiment. A 49,2 % Doctoral Seminar is conceived as a tryptic: a bastard-cheap performance, a bastard-cheap installation, and a workshop.
The bastard-cheap installation is a series of QR codes and some texts.
The performance 34’ 16’’ promise of another bastard cheap lecture performance is presented like this:
I am an immigrant who has the possibility to be a legal migrant. My body produces Conflicted Embodiment as a device to expose the violent confrontation determined by territory, patriarchal art systems, colonial silenced trauma, and resistant feminist hope. I seek ways of representing academic dance and ‘world dance’ in the contamination generated by mashing-up.
The workshop will be focused on Conflicted Embodiment as lens.
The lecture will attempt to reflect about Conflicted Embodiment, again.
Supervisors:
Chrysa Parkinson, Eleonora Fabião
Opponent:
Victoria Perez Royo
