Film masterclass with Frida Kempff
Welcome to a Masterclass with filmmaker Frida Kempff who has been invited to talk about her films. She is currently working on her feature film Den svenska torpeden.
The event is a collaboration with Film Stockholm.

After graduating from SKH, Frida Kempff has made several influential productions. Her feature debut Knackningar had its world premiere in the Midnight section at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for three Guldbagg awards. Her documentary debut Vinterboj premiered at Visions du Réel in Nyon, Switzerland, and was nominated for Best Nordic Documentary at the Gothenburg International Film Festival.
Frida has also been recognised for her short films. She won the Jury Prize at Cannes for Micky Bader and became the first Swede since 1957 to win a short film prize in Cannes' main competition. While You Were Away participated in several international festivals including the BFI London Festival. Älskade unge won the 1 km film prize at the Stockholm Film Festival and critically acclaimed films such as Cirklar and Varg are further proof of her mastery of the format.
The Swedish Hitman is the first feature film she has directed and co-written (with Marietta von Hausswolff von Baumgarten).
