Exchange studies in Dance Pedagogy
Courses offered
SKH offers you to follow courses from the curriculum of the Bachelor's Programme in Dance Pedagogy (year 2). Find more information about the structure and content of the programme here.
Note that the main language of instruction is Swedish.
The autumn semester 2025 includes:
Dance and Pedagogy II, part I: Dance Didactics, different perspectives, 7.5 ECTS
- Dance and Choreography II, 7.5 ECTS
- Dance, Choreography and Visual media, 7.5 ECTS
- Elective Course, 7.5 credits (see below)
You select one of the following Elective Courses:
- Jazz Dance II, part I: Dance Practice as Expanded Concept, 7.5 ECTS
- Modern and Contemporary Dance II, part I: Dance Practice as Expanded Concept, 7.5 ECTS
- Street Dance II, part I: Dance Practice as Expanded Concept, 7.5 ECTS
Total of ECTS: 30
Autumn semester period: 1 September 2025 - 18 January 2026
Main language of instruction: Swedish
Study pace: Full time

Application
The application period is 15 March to 15 April 2025.
You submit your application via the online application system Varbi. Please note that we only accept applications via Varbi and that we will not consider any applications from students sent by e-mail or regular post.
Upload the following documents for your application (in English, Swedish or other scandinavian language):
- Transcript of records of your programme courses at your home institution completed so far
- Language certificate showing your level in English and Swedish (or other scandinavian language)
- Letter of recommendation from a dance pedagogy tutor or teacher at your institution
- Letter of motivation (instruction below)
- Work sample (instruction below)

Describe why you are applying for exchange studies in dance pedagogy at SKH and what your expectations are (maximum one page)
Instructions for the Work sample
Film a dance material that you choose or create yourself and that you think is representative of you and that shows your dance technical ability, musicality and movement qualities in relation to the dance practice you choose to show yourself in (duration: 1.5 - 2 minutes)
