Bachelor Programme in Film and Media
We educate the storytellers of the future who can contribute to the development of society, take their place and acquire a profession within a field in constant change. Develop artistic force, initiative and courage, learn entrepreneurial skills and build a network for life!
The Bachelor Programme in Film and Media is a collaborative, co-creative, team-based education. Through documentary storytelling, fiction, animation and immersive media production, you will develop your artistic skills in collaboration between sound, cinematography, production design, editing, production, directing and scripting.
Together we form a dynamic environment with theoretical teaching, practical lab courses and joint idea formation as a starting point. Within your specialization there are opportunities for international exchanges.
Relating to and meeting an audience is part of the education and through various forms of distribution you reach more groups in society. Accessibility is important for your stories to reach audiences in listening rooms, movie theaters or on platforms such as Extended Reality (XR).
We also explore the ethical, aesthetic, social and political implications of AI (artificial intelligence). A Bachelor's degree lays the foundation for lifelong learning!
Bachelor Specialisation in Fiction Directing
As a student in the Fiction Directing specialisation, you will acquire basic knowledge and a broad base for directing filmmakers in shorter formats. Knowledge that also lays a solid foundation for those who want to direct longer fiction formats in the future.
In the courses specific to the Fiction Directing specialisation, you have the opportunity to deepen your individual artistry and develop your personal narrative voice. You will have the space to develop and create individually and in small collaborations. You will also receive basic training in methods and tools specific to the work of a fiction film director, such as script analysis, staging and character direction.
In the programme, you will practice working both within a clear framework and more freely. Through analysis, your ability to reflect on your own and others' work grows, as does your understanding of what sustainable artistry can be.
